Synopsis: Live action and animatronics. Toy-maker Geppeto, finding a special log, carves out a puppet, Pinocchio, which comes to life. At school, the teacher says that what separates humans from puppets is the ability to cry. Trying to be human, Pinocchio lies, but this only makes his nose grow longer. In an amusement park, where boys are turnes into donkeys, Pinocchio learns the difference between pleasure and happiness. Using his nose to rescue Gepetto from inside a sea monster, he cries and becomes a real boy.
